However, there are stress skills that we can practice in the short term to allow management of stressful situation so we have the vigor we need to succeed in any mission.

The key is to develop strategies of work, rest, and recuperation that do not depend on required schedules. These strategies allow us to flex by rejuvenating our strength and stamina to meet mission demands. 

Practicing stress management skills increases our tolerance to stress, just as practicing fitness routines allows increases in meeting physical challenges.”
