(1) Stress Defined

Stress is the experience of strain due to real or imagined conflicts, frustrations, and demands. 

Stress takes the form of predictable physical and psychological responses at every level of human experience. Ironically, this strain can be due to either positive or negative events! Even a first date, a holiday celebration or a career promotion has intrinsic demands that strain our psychological and physical resources. In other words, stress is experienced, to some degree, in most areas of our daily lives!
