The important thing is that you keep your goals both challenging and achievable.  Set goals weekly and make adjustments based on degree of success and difficulties. Be flexible and willing to see simple maintenance as an achievement toward your overall goal. An author writes a novel chapter by chapter and usually must revise earlier segments as the plot progresses and becomes more involved.  You can accomplish larger tasks in the same way by breaking them down into smaller, more attainable pieces. Each completed piece becomes an achievement building toward your goals.
