Have you seen it this autumn?
The sparkling frost hanging on every blade of grass,
dancing in radiant colors—
You have seen the Lord!
Have you seen it this autumn?
The yellow, red, and brown wings
overflowing across mountains and fields—
You have seen the Lord!
Have you seen it this autumn?
The long lines of geese and wild ducks
flying across the evening sky at sunset—
You have seen the Lord!
Have you seen it this autumn?
The wind sweeping east and west
through children rolling and laughing on fallen leaves—
You have seen the Lord!
Have you seen it this autumn?
The acorns clustered in the forest,
and the innocent laughter of red pomegranates—
You have seen the Lord!
Have you seen it this autumn?
The reeds stretching tall toward heaven,
lifting themselves up in a great Hallelujah chorus—
You have seen the Lord!
Have you seen it this autumn?
The beads of sweat rolling down
the rugged, dirt-stained face of a farmer
gathering in the year’s harvest—
You have seen the Lord!
Have you seen it this autumn?
At the hour when you rest
from a long and tiring day,
the Milky Way shimmering across the sky—
You have seen the Lord!
